Hi all,
The Hanriot HD.1 of the Belgian pilot Willy Coppens of the 9th Escadrille, Belgium, 1918.

Thanks for your support and comment during this build.

As usual a fully detailed build log (PDF) can be downloaded from my web site.

Stunning model, Mike. As always your detail work, overall presentation and finish are superb.

It's a bit worrying though that it takes a modeller of your very advanced capabilities to bring this very expensive kit to fruition. We should be grateful to Lukgraph for bringing these subjects to the table at all, but it worries me that it might put off the likes of CSM bringing their more affordable (and likely easier to build) Hanriot to market.

Fantastic work Mike, you did a really good job on a kit that had its fair share of challenges.

Very nice work, Mike.
What is your overall impression of the Lukgraph product? (I'm considering their Jenny)

Another of your outstanding models. The build log read as though the kit presented some challenges on the way but you managed to overcome them very well.

Stephen.

Very nice work, Mike.

I've built several of their kits and have more in my stash.
Like all kits they have their problems.
I found these to be mostly concerning the fragility of the 3D printed parts and fit of some parts.
I've replaced some part and added detail that was missing.
AS I've said before, I'll continue to buy their models as they do produce aircraft not modeled before.
I'm sure with your talent there's nothing you couldn't overcome.
With patience and a healthy bank balance, I think most modelers can produce decent models from 'Lugraph',

"Engage..."

Beautiful work, Mike, another great build in the (sand-?) bag. How'd the little Nieuport-Macchi come out? Better than the first one?

Hi Dutch,
"How'd the little Nieuport-Macchi come out? Better than the first one?"
Not sure what model you're referring to  ???

Hi Mike, at the beginning of your WIP thread you mentioned you were doing a simultaneous build of the Hanriot alongside an M-5, which I know you've already built once before. Just curious to know how the little flying boat is coming along...

Hi Dutch,
I'll put up some build shots, but no explanation as it's all covered in the build log of my previous Macchi M.5 build,

She looks wonderful Mike, bravo! The end result (to my eye at least) betrays none of the issues you had during construction. I believe this is the same scheme I'll do my future HD.1 in (whatever scale it may be - TVAL has a flying original in Coppens' markings...I think) so your PDF will be an invaluable reference.

Bravo!
