I’ve managed to finish these two builds. Both Eduard kits were just what I needed to get my Mojo back. The D.H.2 is probably as close as a WNW kit I’ll ever experience. It’s almost straight OOB. The Eindecker needs a little more attention on the underside but is still an enjoyable build as well.
Here’s the final pics:

Wow. Just... wow!

I agree with Dutch - two superb builds. As I cannot resist a pusher I have to write that that is just stunning.
Thanks too for the build log - a fascinating insight into the kits and your methods.

What a lovely pair!
The unusual finish on the Fokker is cool, Papa Reuschke would have liked it! ;)
Greetings Joachim

They came out incredibly well. Love the paint scheme on the Fokker.

The finished result is fantastic. Really well done, the weathering on all of these is excellent.
-
Wonderful job! Rigging for the DH2 must have been a challenge. Quality job on quality kits.

Great work, Tim -
Love the DH2!

Bravo Tim, gorgeous work all round!

You've made a great job with both kits Tim, it was a pleasure to watch your build and the results are lovely.
The finish on the Fokker E.I is a real winner!
-
Tim, both kits turned out excellent! The weathering really looks good (something I want to start experimenting with in the future) and really stands out on the DH.2. I'm restating what others have already said here but the paint scheme on the E.I really stands out. Makes for a very interesting looking aircraft.
Enjoyed following your build log also.

I don't mean to be Captain Obvious but there's something missing from this Dogfight Double post... ;)
-
HOLY SMOKES! Hard to believe it is 1/72. The color scheme on the Eindecker is pretty cool.

Lovely work on both Tim (I had to double check the scale when I saw Wingnut mentioned in the text) Glad to see a couple of fabulous builds in the gentleman's scale

Beautiful work on both kits Tim, and I love the 'dogfight doubles' theme - you've encouraged me to pop back to 1/72 for my next build (*fondles the Eduard E.III and DH2 kits tucked away in the stash*) :)
Cheers,
BC

Beautiful work, and that color scheme on your Eindecker is really superb.

Superb work on both aircraft, Tim. I'm always amazed at the gems you have been able to complete at such a small scale.
Cheers,
Gary
