Airfix Roland C.II built as a C.IIa. This would have been from the last production order (2700/16 - 2739/16) which had the aileron controls moved to the upper wing and enlarged the tail flying surfaces.
I used an engine from Roden as well as the prop, spinner and wheels. Scratched the interior, tail flying surfaces and rollover structure.

Very Nice! Love what you did with this kit.

Lovely! This would have been great work in any scale. Very well done!

Beautiful job Scott! It's hard to believe what the base kit was - that interior is gorgeous.

Wow! That is the old Airfix Kit?! Amazing interior detail and the compass on the lower wing is a real gem.
Many congratulations on making this old timer look like a WNW 1/32 scale model.
Stephen.

You can't fool us with a WNW kit. ::)
Beautiful job on that old beast. Lovely plane and you nailed it.

Great little model - can’t stress that enough: the Roland is surprisingly tiny for a two-seater. I have the same kit in a plastic bag and was struck by its size. I hope to gather the motivation required, it’s not an easy job. The internals you’ve scratched together are just fabulous (the kit is practically empty…in case anyone wondered)!
edit: that little stool for the lifting the tail does wonders to heighten interest as well.

Thanks to all for the positive comments on the Roland. It's been about 12+ years since I assembled it but I still remember it as a fun and satisfying experience. I remember I really enjoyed doing the research on it.
Thanks again!...
Take care
