Hard to believe but we are in Sept already and this is only going to be my first WNW kit in this year... Eindeckers were truly never my favourites but when WNW demise was announced I decided to buy and build at least one of these. And here it is, one of the really first fighters, my choice will be Fok E5/15.
I started with the veneer Garuda prop which is ready now and the Ur.0 engine from Taurus which is in progress.

A Great start, Przemo! I'm waiting to see you work your magic on this classic aeroplane! We don't see enough of these actually built...
-
Thank you, Marc, I will do my best.
And in the meantime Ur.0 basically assembled and ready for colours.

An excellent start on what will be an excellent project.
-
Stunning work already! Very much looking forward to your build :)

The powering set complete

Very nice work, they look very effective. The Taurus engine is lovely.
-
Stunning work, Prze. If I didn't know better I'd think it was an exhibit of a 1:1 engine & prop from a museum.
Mairëa, mellon.

Niceee :)

I don't know about the rest of you but I want to get out the little pump can, prime this baby and get it started. Lovely work Prze!
-
Very impressive start, Prze. Very keen to see this one progress.
Cheers,
Gary
-
The prop and the engine look beautiful Prze.
Details on the engine are very crisp and sharp. Looking forward to the rest of your build.
Cheers,
Willem

Thank you for your kind comments.
And in the meantime I am working on interior bits doing some preparations.
First, I chose the E.I option with high wings mount, which required making the new holes and filling the standard ones for mid-high mount.
Then remembering photos of many Fokker models with unnatural negative dihedral I opted for adding plastic pieces to tighten and reinforce the sockets for large rear wings tabs. It resulted in a desired situation of wings having no apparent dihedral even when just dry-assembled.

And finally it turned out that correct fitting of turtledeck in front of the cockpit in this version required cutting tine notches in the small front wing tabs. Again, the result is satisfactory in test dry assembly.

Nice progress shots. I have an EIII to do so was interested to see how you approached the wings because many of the WNW Eindeckers I have seen built have negative dihedral. This is very helpful, thanks.
-
Oh my Prze - that propeller and engine is stunning, sir!
I love the attention going in to converting this one to an earlier E.I. This should be another wonderful build from a master modeller!
Cheers,
BC
-
Watching with interest Prze. I like that you are fixing the wing in the high position. We don’t see this modeled often.
-
Very interesting build! I like the changes and tips :)
-
Thank you, all of you!
The work on the interior is well advanced...

This is going together very well and looks great.
-
Beautifully done interior work Prze. This is going to be a stunner!
-
A couple of successful steps made.
First, the fuselage with a few not too well fitting bits assembled, seams filled and sanded, almost ready.
Secondly I am glad to discover that the engine cowling after some scraping inside to thin the walls is able to house the Taurus Ur.0. It is welcome because I was not to happy thinking it would be necessary to have the cowling off. It is of crescent type so lots of the fine Taurus resin will be visible and the complete outline of the nose will be preserved in my model.

Looking good, and the engine looks fantastic.
-
Lovely work as always Prze, and it's interesting to see the work involved in changing the wing placement.
-
Beautiful.
-
Thank you :)
More work done. Rigging stations mounted including the replacement of plastic turnbuckles at the cabane pyramid which I am afraid maybe torn by the rigging line.
Also the PE bits attached including the Parabellum barrel and a couple of panels.
Aiming at the nearing painting.

Very nice additions and excellent progress.

Metal panels painted. Cowling, engine and prop attached tentatively to have more taste of the complete model.

Your cowling is magnificent! How did you do it? / Ian
-
Looking darned good Prze, keep it up my friend!
-
Thank you.

It is the same method which worked so surprisingly fine in my Taube build.

Excellent progress, it's looking really good so far.
-
Just beautiful work! The turned metal look is really well depicted. The prop looks as if it were taken right out of the woodmill.
-
Thank you.

I missed that log. Amazing, many thanks / Ian

The colours are applied. Now for shading, weathering and wash.
And I am still debating if I like those pinky tyres or should I rather change them to light grey...

Embrace the pink!
Nice work as ever...
-
Yeah, why not, go pink! I have occasionally done pinkish coloured tyres although I tend to stick to grey these days.
Good progress here, looking forward to see the next stages.....
-
I'd go with the pink too, strictly for aesthetic reasons. That way the tires and that beautiful red-brown panel on the underside would provide some eye-relief, a couple of spots of color to break up all that grey & silver. Beautiful job, Prze.

I just realised I didn't comment when I caught yesterday's update! Another great batch of work Prze, well done my friend.
-
Very nice work, Przemol. The metal parts came out brilliantly (pun intended).
-
As always, great work. What did you use for the grey/green?
-
Thank you, everyone. I am getting more and more convinced to the pink :)
As always, great work. What did you use for the grey/green?
Grey green here is an approx. 1:1 mix of Vallejo Interior Grey Green 71.305 and Light Grey 71.050. Grey-Green itself was too greenish to my eye.
-
Back to this project after the RWD detour. Shading done, engine and cowling attached, the bits are ready for wash and weathering.

Oh my, that cowling looks terrific Prze! I mean, the whole thing looks terrific but that first shot made me say "wow" in a very low and impressed voice.
-
Thanks, Zac.
The wash complete and sealed, the final assembly begun. Oh my, how much I like this stage!

Oh my. This is coming together splendidly. Excellent paintwork and shading. I like the light pink tone on the tires as well. I recently saw natural butyl tires on a model T Ford in a local museum. They were still almost white, just a hint of yellowing. I imagine they would be effected by the ground color of whatever theater they were deployed.
-
Thanks, Zac.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work! It's inspirational stuff and makes me want an Eindecker of my own.
-
Thanks!

This is truly a beautiful eindecker Prze!
The detailing of the rigging is second to none and the one-colour scheme turned out beautiful as well with the subtle tonal differences.
Great work!
Cheers,
Willem
-
This has come together beautifully. I love your work on the fabric, it's beautifully subtle and its very effective in creating a 3D look without going over the top.
-
Beautiful work Prze, she's gorgeous. Thanks for taking us on the journey with you!
-
Masterful work Prze.
-
Thank you, gentlemen :)

Masterclass!
-
Thank you, Jurek. :)

Excellent work, really looks great ;D

Thanks, Ben.
