Greetings,
New to the site and still trying to figure out how to get around. Trying to post pictures of my last completed project.
Sopwith 7F.1a Snipe Mark Ia
1/72 Eastern Express (Toko) Sopwith Snipe: Scratch built interior, axel , fin and rudder tail assembly, Eduard photoetch wicker seat and an Aeroclub Bentley BR-2 engine.
This model represents aircraft E8089 which was modified for use as a possible long-range escort for the Independent Force (IF). Originally intending to use Martinsyde F.4 Buzzards, the IF became operational before the Martinsyde went into production. As a stop-gap, three Sopwith Snipes were modified and evaluated with larger, additional fuel/oil tanks to increase range for escort duty. Due to the inherent stability problems of the Snipe, aircraft E8089 was also experimentally fitted with a Sopwith Dolphin tail to try to remedy this problem.

Gorgeous results. I remember it was not an easy kit, you turned it into a beauty.

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments on the Sopwith Snipe (I would certainly also appreciate constructive criticism!). I guess I would consider this my COVID build as that is when this model was finished however, it was started long before the pandemic.
I'm afraid one of my weak points is photography, the camera I use is pretty basic as is my technique... point and shoot.
Anyway, thank you all again, I appreciate your comments.
Take care
Scott
