All,
I took the plunge into biplanes with this CSM Nieuport XVII. This is what I have so far, pale in comparison to the work I see here on this forum, but I'm happy with it so far.

Lou, that's beautiful work.... there's a lot of senior members more qualified than me to say welcome, but we're dealing with a bunch of different time zones here, so I'm sure they'll catch up!
I'm hoping to get one of the CSM 17s myself pretty soon so I'll follow your build closely.
All best,
Dave V.

Lou,
You may be new to WWI modeling but you must have experience in other eras. Really nice work on the interior. Looking forward to seeing more. Welcome to the forum!
All the best,

Hi Lou,
Welcome to the world of linen and wire.
Your 'Noop' build thus far looks to be spot on.
Are you building the early or the late version?
Keep us all regularly updated on its progress,
Mike

All,
Here's some progress shots on the Nieuport XVII build - engine is basically done, and I preshaded the wings and various panels with highly diluted Tamiya flat white and an AK stencil. I must give kudos the the YouTuber "The Alleyman" who is providing the inspiration and ideas for this build.

Beautiful work, Lou. And I love your spray booth... looks like a miniature version of the one in the collision shop I used to work at!
