Here are a few pictures of my completed model and figure of Oswald Boelcke's Fokker E.IV based out of Sivry airfield in France in early 1916. The model is slightly modified from the WnW kit prototype option to have just two MG.08's as it was delivered for service.
I had a few photos of the construction here: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=13908.0
It wasn't a blog as such - just a summary of the build. The figure is of course the nicely sculpted piece by Mike Good from The Model Cellar, painted in Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics.
Cheers,
Gary

As I just said in the WIP thread I really enjoyed following this build Gary, thanks for taking us along for the ride - I've bookmarked this for inspiration when I eventually get my hands on an E.III. Beautiful result!!

Blinding work (as ever!), Gary!
Love your turned metal look to the cowling and cockpit coaming.

An outstanding model, Gary. As usual, your figure is superb. Great rendition of the fabric covering. I think your experience with figure painting is paying dividends in other areas of your modeling.

Looks fantastic. Especially the cowling.

Wow! Words fail to express my admiration for this one Gary. The build log was a very interesting read and an interesting account of a successful conversion. Everything about this model shouts quality and class.

Lovely piece of modeling, Gary. As always expected from your bench. Thanks for sharing. It makes me tempted to bring my long-due WNW Eindecker higher in the stash.

Add my compliments to the above !

Wow, I've loved seeing this come together and the completed model is just stunning. Lovely turned metal cowlings, utterly realistic weathering all capped off with a figure who looks relaxed but deep in thought.
