Does anyone know any more this announcement?

Saw it here:

Apparently this notice was on display at the recent Nuremberg Toy Fair 2013

No but I'm extremely interested. Wondered if its just a scaled down version of the old 1/8th or bang upto date. If it sells I'm guessing the Driedecker will follow.
I also wonder if its a first dip into the new WW1 market for a major maker to test things too. I'm sure news of WNW's success in 1/32nd has reached Hasegawa's ears.
A case of "Watch this space!" for certain.

Now this will be something to get your teeth into, big but not too big, price will be the determining factor.

Doh!
It will be a fantastic kit I'm sure, although I find it a bit depressing that it comes just about when I should be finishing a far inferior kit of the same aircraft in the same scale :(
I suspect this won't be good news for Model Airways, who are about to release a DR1. I certainly won't be buying it until I know what the next Hasegawa release will be, and I'm sure others will do the same.

If UK prices are anything to go by (based on a many 1/72 Hasegawa kits costing £70+) I think price will be a crippling factor.
I hope I'm wrong.

I'm definitely interested in seeing how this shakes out and we won't have long to wait if they're able to make their second quarter forecast.
Cheers,

Umm Great hint for a Father's Day gift. That being said I hope I can get the boss to pick up the hint.

Im with BvB. A 1/72 Hasey B24 is $100 here. Compared to a Revell new tool 1/72 B17 or Lanc for about $35 max Hasegawa has priced themselves out of the market. I cant imagine what this will be.

Maybe we all should start a Pool. I'd say absolute minimum here in Canada will be $299.99 :-\ Out of my price range however if they did an Albie................ ::)

It will be interesting to see what this kit looks like, although I'm a bit depressed now by Rizzos comment regarding the M/A Camel in 1/16. I have the Hase Wright Flyer, and the model airways Albie, and Camel; I was planning on the Tripe....

I would base my guess around the £179.99 mark and that's being conservative!

Any idea if this will be a wood kit, or plastic?
Cheers,

I can only speculate here but it will probably be a combination of plastc/wood and metal parts, but the biggest drawback for this kit will be the price, lets hope that Hasegawa are kind to us.
