Title: Sopwith 1&1/2 Strutter Type 9700.
Post by: Tim Mixon on March 30, 2023, 08:27:07 AM
Continuing on with posting newer pictures of some older builds.  This is a Flashback 1/72 kit. I converted it to the type 9700 single seat bomber. (I know they made this version, but I didn’t have it). I cannot recall what unit this served in.

Very nice.  I like the finish on the CDL and PC10.

I agree with Big Sky Modeller: the finish on the model is very good. Nice to see a strutter in God's Own Scale.

Wonderful work Tim, I built one of the flashback kits a couple of years back and it is surprisingly nice. Yours is beautifully finished.

Cheers,

Brad

Ah, a 1 and a 1/2 Strutter! Lovely to see this rarely modelled type built up. Especially so handsomely done as this.

Nice paint job.  Rigging a Sopwith  is always tedious.

Excellent results! Perhaps a Year or so ago I attempted to do this kit and realized 1/72nd WW1 wasn't in My scope of reality  ::)
