At the beginning, a wonderfully developed engine went to the workshop. The model engine is made in 3D technology, with very good quality resin, easy to process and not brittle. The oil pump has been reworked in the model, and valve tappets made of 0.3 mm aluminum tubes from ALBION ALLOYS have been added.

Gorgeous!

Stunning work!

You made a masterpiece. That’s one of the best 1:32 engines I’ve ever seen.

Absolutely marvellous. A superb model engine very well presented.
Stephen.

Beautiful work! Really anticipating the rest of the build.

Hi Simon,
Impressive work :)
I see it's also posted on the Lukgraph Facebook page.
The close up photographs do show the Achilles heel of present day 3D printing, even at 1:32nd scale - surface layer lines.
Maybe one day we'll have printed surfaces like styrene, maybe ;)
I wanted to see more of your work, but can't seem to find any on the forum, despite you being a member since 2012.
I did try your Facebook page but it only seems to contain work from others.
Any chance you could post some of your work or steer me in the right direction,
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Mike, you're right, in macro photography D3 printing reveals its ills. I didn't want to grind the engine elements too much so as not to damage the details - Unfortunately, it's such a rotten compromise ;D
I haven't built many models lately, and I've been working with a few modeling manufacturers in the last few years. Here on the forum there are some of my models Fokker DVII, Roland and my last model Nieuport XVII, on my page on Silesia wings in fb there are also some other things of mine.Previously, I dealt with Japanese aviation from the WWII period ;)

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your response.
I searched the forum using your 'aka'.
I think I need to try by aircraft type instead.

Already blown away! Following with interest :)

Work on the hull is progressing slowly. The fuel tanks compartment was made from scratch.

Great job on those interior bits. have you had any reliable reference material?
-
I must say that Lukgraph is getting some very fine free advertisments from different builders here on the forum. Tempting models all of them... I will have to steel myself in order not to buy...

I'm in the same boat, Fredrik! Seeing these beautiful kits built so well by our forum friends makes it very, very hard to resist them! I only hope I don't leave it too late to pick up the ones that take my fancy.

There's probably no rush Zac. When was the last time a kit company manufacturing fantastic kits went belly up?! And if it did happen here, I'm sure prices wouldn't go up... 😄

I can only echoe what is already said: Truely amazing!

Thanks gentlemen, as reference materials I used a few photos from windsock 99, it's only good to enlarge them, and this from internet photo is crucial

Excellent engine! This looks like a real beaute of a kit. I’m getting really jealous of you 1/32 guys.
Looking forward to seeing your next post.
