Title: Sopwith Camel by Maly Modelarz in 1/33rd Paper Card Model
Post by: NinetythirdLiberator on February 12, 2023, 03:22:00 PM
Here it is.  All finished.  I added a few little details and finished the rigging.  I must say It looks like a Camel.  This was a pretty easy and really fun build.  If you can find it on Ebay, go for it. It would make a great first paper card model of a WWI type.

Thanks for looking,
Dan

Yup, that’s surely a Camel, no doubt.  Beautiful finish Dan!  I continue to enjoy and learn from your builds and videos, and will return to a paper model soon.  Thanks for your inspiration!

Best,

Bob

I had to look twice to make sure it was a Camel made from paper. I still cannot believe that it is made from paper and that you are not having us all on the end of a piece of string........

Absolute stunner again Dan. You are truly a master of the paper modelling art. I was at Shuttleworth model show earlier today and saw a paper model of a Fairy Battle (it won best in show prize), and apart from very close up it looked like an injection moulded kit. Just like your paper models in fact.

I just wish that I had a fraction of your skill with those paper models.

Stephen.

Masterfully done Dan. Like all the others have said, one has to look very closely to it’s not a plastic kit!

Fantastic work again Dan.I think I came across a few videos on YouTube of this very build. The processes look ingenious and the results are amazing.

Nice job Dan.
I think the way you finish off the cowlings and tires really take these paper builds to the next level.

Thanks to you all...

Allan:  The only real shortcomings of paper models are the convex and concave curves with "petal" designs.  Some folks can do them extremely well!  I'm not one of them so using putty and sanding is my work around.

Much appreciate you all taking a look,
Dan

I am sorry I have taken So Long to comment Dan! This was, as always, a great build log to follow! Excellent results.
