Hi all
I am working on an Eduard 1/48 Albatros D.Va. I had just finished painting the wood grain on the interior with oils, it came out beautifully. I tried to speed up the oils curing with some low heat, but it was not low enough! I have completely warped and shrunken the entire fuselage beyond being salvageable. I have taken the fuselage from a spare over trees kit I have to completely start it over but am now left with an otherwise complete kit sans the fuselage. If any of you have the left and right fuselage you could spare for whatever reason so that I can replace these it would be much appreciated. I'd hate to by a whole other kit again to get just the two main parts. Thanks much if any of you can help out. Hard lesson learned for sure.
All the best

Have you contacted Eduard to ask if they have any spares available? It could be worth a shot!

Hi Zac
I have not, but that is a good idea, thanks.

I just sent off a message to Eduard enquiring about replacement parts. Hopefully I will hear something back soon.

Problem solved!
I reached out to Eduard and they were gracious enough to send me the replacement parts for the ones I ruined. Excellent customer service, they certainly went above and beyond even though it was my own dumb error. I can't say just how great they are to their customers. I was already a fan of their products, but I will be supporting them for sure after such great service. Been eyeing that new Sopwith Camel I have, so gonna show my gratitude to them after I save a few more pennies.

Indeed! I didn't expect them to be so gracious even after I told them it was my fault. I wasn't looking for a hand out, but they said they would have them in the mail to me in about a week.
