First post in this 'completed' forum; This is my Revell kit finally off the bench after many a tragic build issue. Too many human caused errors here , but , included is a Copperstate engine and photoetch, Spandaus by Burl Burlingame, a reshaped HobbyCraft propellor and borrowed decals from the Revell and HobbyCraft release. A few bits of my own plastic to improve things and a whole host of Revell's clangers were ignored.
Thanks for watching

Welcome to the forum Snowbird! What an excellent entry you have made. I really like your streaking effects on the fuselage and flying surfaces. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects.

I think your build and finish overshadows any clangers. This kit just keeps going!!

Great to see another one of this classic. Nice job.

The kit may be old and full of clangers but you have done it more than justice. Superb model, especially the streaking.

Well that looks fantastic, you have thoroughly disproved the old saying 'you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.'

Thanks all for the kind words. it was a bear of a build but the photos came out way better than anticipated. Nice to get a commendation from Ed, the triplane master. Privileged to met Ed at a couple of IPMS Nats in the past. Trying very hard to reach the lofty standard of brother Gary, but he keeps raisin' that bar with every kit finished.
