Just finished this Italeri 1/48 Fiat CR-42 in Hungarian livery. The Hungarians bought 50 or so CR-42s at the beginning of WW2, just before invading Russia in support of Austria and Germany. This one came from the Italian factory in standard camo and was overpainted with the yellow areas.
The kit went together well, but the struts needed shortening. I used Montex painting masks for the insignias and numerals. The arrow insignia on the sides of the fuselage are the only decals used. The green and brown spots were hand painted on. It took a lot of painting, having to paint the Italian camo first, before overpainting the yellow areas.

Great work, I remember this kit needing lots of puttying and sanding , besides small updated you made, like the lovely spinner. Really well done.

Beautiful job Ken! I like the CR.42 - I hope I live long enough to see The Fighter Collection's example fly!
