Good Day
Thanks to the forum Special Hobby Grand Giveaway I am pleased to commence the thread, which would be dedicated the Fokker D.II. The construction of her is rather rare and not so common on th web. Not to waste much more time let me start new project.
PS. Any comments more than welcome

Welcome to the Fokker D. II group build K!
(You might want to see my comments about the wing mounting before you commence.)

Hi Sandy,
Ohh there is a group build, yes pls. Could you share a link?

Hey K, I was being a bit facetious - it's just I'm building the same kit and have a thread running in the same Under Construction section of the forum. Nobody else (so far anyway), maybe we can start a trend?
If you're interested, you might profit from the mistakes I made earlier! 😊
(No pinching my blue colour scheme though!)
Cheers, Sandy

This will be nice to see. I really like this aircraft so will be following taking notes. I have the 1/72 classic plane vac to build.
-
I'm fascinated to follow along with this as it's a type I wasn't aware of until the forum competition. Patiently awaiting updates with some excitement!

....now getting back to this one...
So far I have managed to combine fuselage together, which was not and easy part as internal framing was oversized.
Engine is ready, also managed to do initial paint layers on lower & upper wings

Very nice work all round. It's good to see another modeller whose builds can take a long time..... ;) :)

Your interior details look very nice. Thanks for sharing your work.
-
Hear hear, it's nice to see how this kit shapes up.
-
Thx!
Progressing on this one quite fast.. :D

I will keep this final outlook with CDL fuselage and bare metal finish on the cowlings being aware that might be problematic for pale paint coverage as the option for the latter one. I would go into mat alu fisnish

Very fine build all around! Very neat interior, lovely shading on the exterior. I will be watching with great interest.

Very nice progress indeed, this will look fantastic when finished.
