All,
Not WW1 but it is a biplane!
This is the old Hasegawa kit from the early 70's. Picked up the 1991 re-issue kit at a recent model show. Kit was all complete and sealed up so thought it was worth a go.
Mostly built OOB with a few (very) minor details added here and there. Nice straightfoward kit (very much of it's time) with minimal parts that go together generally well although a couple of areas where some shimming was required to achieve a more tidy fit.

Excellent work Dave and I love the colour scheme.
This was a kit I planned to make many years back but never got round to it so it's wonderful to see it here and see what sa fine job you did on this classic.

Dave,
Beautiful, I love those "Yellow Wings" and you've done this one exceptionally well!
I did it's "Sister" the F4B-4 a few years back. Like you I found it at a vendors table at a show here. In fact there were three of the series, the P-12E, F4B-4 and the P-26 at $25 each or all three for $60! I moved on to "think about it" and when I went back the P-12 had gone. With care they are all excellent little Kits and I regretted missing the combo deal. I'll build the P-26 soon, can't resist and the colors are spectacular! Are those markings from Yellow wings Decals?
Cheers,
Lance

Wow that is an eye-stopper Dave. What a superb finish and extremely well presented model. Just got to love the clean finish and yellow wings scheme. Very well done and I am looking forward to giving this a much closer look in the near future.

Greatlooking model, Dave. There's something very appealing about those US "between the wars" aircraft.

I agree and I have been lucky enough to have been given Hasegawa's 32nd Boeing Peashooter kit from a member of another modelling forum so hope to get around to that soon as these would make a good pairing.
