Hi all - I am looking for the below kit, or more specifically, the decals for Flashar's "Mailed Gauntlet" bird of Jasta 5:

This was part of an Americal//Gryphon set of Jasta 5 Albatrosses, as far as I remember. I don’t know if that helps? In every way I would recommend to consult the WDF Special on the Jasta 5, in volume 2 I think this bird is well documented with photos. I don’t know at the moment but I doubt this checker-board finish on the upper wings.

Have a look at WNW Jasta 5 Special Instruction booklet, p. 27: no checker boards, just ordinary Tarnstoff (“lozenge”)

Interesting that the box top illustration shows wings in Tarnstoff; did some one in the Eduard Instructions Shop confuse it with Rumey’s Devil scheme?

Hi Kevin, PM received, many thanks!

Thanks also Borsos - indeed I have the Jasta 5 specials, and I checked out the photographs of the machine, including after its landing mishap. 5 colour lozenge for the wings. Also of note is this machine is a DV, not a DVa.
