Title: Hello from Canada
Post by: Intrepid on January 15, 2013, 01:01:41 PM
I've been building models for some 27 years now.  Dabbled in WWI subject only occasionally.  Currently, I have Eduard's Fokker DVII and N.17 built, but own almost all of their 1/48 fighters in the stash.  I joined this group to get a better insight into the subject for the benefit of applying new knowledge to any future 1/32 builds.  No, I don't own any WnW kits as of yet.  I have Roden's Albatross D.III, and Hobbycraft's N.17.  I'll probably pick up WnW Dr.I and Albatross D.V in the future, but I'm still praying for them to release a SPAD XIII, N.11/17, or a Camel.

Looking forward to being able to contribute, but it'll be a while.  I have several projects to get out of the way in the meantime.  All the best.

Intrepid.

Hello and welcome Intrepid :)

Andrew

p.s. WNW doesn't do a 1/32 Dr.I yet, Roden does however ;)

Intrepid,
Welcome from another fellow Canuck. I know you'll really enjoy this place. Neat nickname/Callsign BTW. Not many realise that Sir William, the man called Intrepid, flew Camels in his youth, and infact shot down 12 E/A's. I have an inscribed copy of Arch Whitehouse's "Heros of the Sunlit Sky" which he gifted to B Gen. John Cope in 1968 in Bermuda and consider it a treasure. I didn't realise that it was so special until after I bought it (for $12!) at a used Bookstore. It's a wonderful momento of a truly great Canadian.
Hope you enjoy your time here, great group and lots of info!
Cheers,
Lance
