I am almost embarrassed to show my feeble, OOB efforts when compared to the experts on the forum, but as a mere tinkerer in the world of modelling I am quite proud of my efforts on the Eindekker, you have taught me woodgraining and rigging and I almost kept the cockpit frame of this one as a seperate piece just so I could look at my first decent efforts at both.
I decided that I wasn't going to risk trying to oil stain the fueslage, I could see that ending VERY badly!

That looks great Tony, I like the look of the engine. Any chance of a better photo showing the swirl pattern on the cowling?

Will give it a try!

Looking really quite nice indeed yes. Tony, don't be scared to il her up, just practice on scrap material till you are happy with what you can acheive. Of course it's upto you if you wish to or not.

The cowling. Up close it looks like I needed to use a finer brush, but from the usual safe distace it isn't too bad.

It looks great Tony - nice work!
Thanks! It has been a great learning experience as I try out some of the techniques the experts here have shown we amateurs.

Good Job, Tony! Any more pics to share? I really like the metal swirl paint and engine!
Thanks for sharing your work.

You are making fine progress Tony, your metal swirls look very convincing and you have done a great job with the engine, the cockpit interior also looks very good, she is shaping up to be a really nice looking model.

Tony, I think your Eindecker is coming along nicely. What paints did you use on
your swirl pattern? To me (also new at this), that is just about the scariest part
of that aeroplane and I think you have done well. Looking forward to more on your build.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Best Regards,
Ernie
