I saw on the KP site that a Salmson 2A2 is to be released in April. Four different versions A much needed addition for the 1/72 scale builders.
-
I wonder if this will be from KP molds or the old AZ molds?

So there will be a time in the not-too-distant future when my entire stash of Pegasus kits is no longer relevant.

Don’t be so sure. The Pegasus kits I have are still superior to the new KP kits. I hope they have upped their game: the Salmson is a something I’ve been wanting.

Another great addition to KP's fast growing WWI range of kits.
WD - as far as I know AZ never had a Salmson, the new KP will probably be based on CMR's old resin kit.
Most of their new issues are based on old resin kits by CMR and RVHP.
4 versions - USAS, Polish, Czech and Japanese Kawasaki Otsu-1, but no French Salmson.
-
Do the KP kits only appear for a limited run?
It looks like I missed the Alb C.III and the Vickers Bullet seems to be becoming scarce now too.

D'oh! I was thinking of the Breguet kit.

This kit will be based strongly on the old Czechmasters kit which I do have a copy made by someone else although it does have a good little set of decals. I do hope we get a one with French markings.
Cheers

It seems they were produced in small numbers. The Albatros C.III has sold out quickly and I hope KP will produce another batch.
I think KP are watching this forum, maybe they can elaborate.
The Vickers FB.19 Mk.1's are still available and the Mk.2 can be found on Ebay.

I Remember that KP have announced that they intend to release a 1/72 AVRO 504.
Following their practice of using Czech manufacturers old resin kits for the moulds, this can only mean HR Model's 504 kits.
This opens some more exciting opportunities...
A few of them: Fokker D.II & D.III, Hansa Brandenburg C.I, Morane Saulnier N, Nieuport 12, Pfalz E.V.

T'would be nice, wouldn't it?

It would be nice to see more new 1/72 kits.
Saves stash storage and display room ;)

I thought the HR Models 504 was based on the undersized old Airfix kit?

Bob, the HR Model AVRO 504 kits are quite accurate if you measure the aircraft's length including the landing skid.
The wingspan is accurate too. It looks like a good source for KP.
