Title: Stand by your beds
Post by: Pete Nottingham on January 09, 2013, 03:49:38 AM
Hi Guys;

The wanderer returns, I'm getting this overpowering urge to build a bipe, things haven't changed in the family troubles, but I've got to get my mind back in gear and build, now what to build, my thoughts are turning to a Roland, what do you think?

Cheers

Welcome back Pete, model building is great therapy.

The Roland is a good choice even though i have not tackled one yet, all reports point to it as being a great kit. Another consideration is the new Hannover, it is sooooo easy to build, it virtually just falls together, a brilliantly engineered kit.

Whatever you build will be good, it's just nice to see you back with us again.

Glad to see you back, mate!  Had some similar issues with my 30 yr old son a couple months back.  Visiting your kid in jail really sucks, but this fantastic hobby and these wonderful blokes helped to keep me positive and able to deal with him in a reasonable manner.  I think a Roland would be just the ticket.
Cheers,
Bud

You couldn't have picked a better kit Pete to get back in the swing of things. I enjoyed building it more than any other thus far.

Cheers,

Chris

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, but I've lost a bit of enthusiasm for it after it was modified by the cat, perhaps when I'm back in the swing of things I'll get back to it.

Cheers

Why is that?

What's that down to, work or moving house or just something else?

I noticed that you got a mention in the latest Fine Scale Modeller magazine.

I guess moving home had an impact. DIY Jobs, a garden the size of a small football pitch and not forgetting the Buckle emporium  ;) have all sapped time away from this pleasurable hobby of ours.

Not to worry... There is always tomorrow.

Welcome back Pete, and I hope you find some peace with your circumstancees. The Roland ought to give you some good options for the finish.
