Hi all,
This is one that's been on my "almost done" list for too long, and I forget why! It's in the lovely purple and green colours of Alois Heldmann's 1395/17:

The decals were traded a long time ago but fortunately a year or so back when I rediscovered the model and painted it Roden was kind enough to send replacement decals.
While I chip away at the big SPAD I have this and another, to-be-revealed 1/72 Great War kit to keep me busy while glue/putty/paint dries!

I've love the Pfalz since the second I saw one on The Blue Max. It'll be nice to see this completed.

Lovely work so far Zac - I have always liked this scheme and have it in mind to do it one day. Looking forward to seeing more!
Cheers,

Good to read that you have restarted a model in God's Own Scale - and an interesting one too. Looking forward to seeing this finished.

Thanks folks! While I have another Pfalz scheme I've wanted to build for the longest time, that will wait for a 1/48 kit and I really wanted to get this one done - it's too nice a kit to leave unfinished.

That's where my Pfalz passion started. I've done the (Squadron?) TBM re-box of this kit (https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=5903.0) with mods to represent the Viv Bellamy/Hampshire Aeroplane Club-built replica from the film, now residing in NZ:

Thanks Stephen! It's nice to be back in the smaller scale world, and I actually started a third yesterday but that one will wait a bit before appearing on the forum.

Looking forward to seeing this one finished. Like many here, because of The Blue Max, I too have a Pfalz Pfetish.

She's got legs! Perhaps I'll tackle the (too scale-accurate) struts and mount the top wing tomorrow...

Lovely little bi Plane !

That makes two biplanes with upper wings in one day! Were there as many swear words used for this as for the Albatros?
Looking very promising indeed.

I love Pfalzen so much there's no way I'd use bad words against one ;) Fortunately it went together much easier.
My biggest problem now is finding (or remixing) the green camo for touch ups as there are some paint splatters and glue marks that need to be taken care of. Of course, really that should wait until after rigging...
