Title: In A Man-Cave Far Far Away...
Post by: bobs_buckles on March 03, 2022, 01:30:23 AM
Bandai 1/144 scale AT-AT Imperial All Terrain Armoured Transport  ;)

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have strayed to the Darkside for this build. I needed something to fire up the old mojo and this kit from Bandai did the trick.
A simple click together kit without the need to sniff glue or worry about seam lines...just a fun build from start to finish.

I give you...

Back to Buckle production.

Bravo Bob, she looks just like a screen-used prop!

Wow, Bob, I like it  :)

Must have been fun to build. Great and fast result.

The kit looks very well detailed too.
And it's a good size, isn't it?

Nice work, Bob! I still remember the impact of the AT-AT on Hoth when I attended the premiere of 'SWE5' at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara a long, long time ago in a hometown far, far away. Especially when General Veers went full power on the rebel power generator. Sha-zam! Lovely beastie you got there.

Neat!
But come back to Earth and to 1914-18 period, please  ;D ;D ;D

No 'Hello Kitty' decals?

Nice work there, Bob.  Looks like a fun project.

A long time ago on a hobby news site far, far away....someone announced a 1/35 AT-AT kit (https://www.scalemates.com/kits/dragon-at-at--982199). After a month or two of excitment and buzz there was a disturbance in the Force, as if a thousand modellers cried out at once and were silenced.

Excellent model Bob! I love the finish too, looks 'battle used' rather than 'showroom'.

I did not know you were a Star Wars modeller too. Some great kits in that range.

Nothing wrong with straying to the dark side from time to time, Bob -

Your Star Wars model is excellent

Very nice one! Doesn’t look like a simple snap together kit. Will you put it onto a diorama?

You do get a small base with the kit, but I will make up a larger one from foam board or a converted picture frame with the intention of making a simple dio.

Cheers!

Hi Dave,
I've always been a fan of Star Wars. Got to see A New Hope back in 77 at my local cinema and was blown away! I lost count of how many times I revisited the same cinema during the summer of that year. So many happy memories   ;)

This is my first completed Star Wars kit. I do have the Finemolds x-wing and the Bandai M/Falcon in the stash for future mojo boosters. But, I think I will take Prze's advice and come back to 1914-1918. That is where my true interest lies.  ;)

Cheers!
Bob  :)
