Hi all,
And now for something completely different! ;D

A few years ago a friend sold me this box very cheap, and inside was enough for two full figures except the boots for one (as pictured below). As you can see the box art does not do the mould justice as it is very well sculpted.

Only a few minutes cutting, filing and some CA resulted in this:

Not a bad fit but definitely room for improvement. I'm using Vallejo Plastic Putty for the gaps and seams.

As there's 1.75 Han Solos in the box I have a cunning plan: the full figure will be the classic character from the original film, while the bootless parts of the second will be a bust of older Han from the 2015 sequel film The Force Awakens.
I've never painted a figure of this size but I have plans and ideas. Stay tuned!

Looking forward on how this turns out Zac

Thanks Alexis. Here he is with a household item for scale:

wow!
this is really something different! ;)

Lovely!

Now you need a Millenium Falcon to the same scale for matching your Han Solo, and at least Chewbacca as co-pilot. ;D

Interesting stuff, Zac! And always good to do something different and a bit challenging... I see you "can" present a great size comparison... ;D ;D Regards, Marc..

Thanks folks! Parts cleanup and fitting was a breeze, filling will take some care, but the paint is the part I'm most worried about - off to YouTube I go!

I don't see Chewie joining him in this scale, let alone the Falcon! ;D I'd like to build a little Falcon as part of a forced-perspective diorama but the ship's never appealed to me as much as the TIE family, the Lambda-class shuttle (Return of the Jedi) and the Naboo starfighter of Episode I.
I see you "can" present a great size comparison... ;D ;D

How are you going to paint him? I mean, polyvinyl is such a funny material, paint doesn't like it much as I recall.

That's my biggest question with this kit: I've never worked with vinyl. Fortunately YouTube has a bunch of tutorials for me to refer to as well as other forums (no offence intended to anyone!) where folk with more experience than I have offered hints and tips.
The one big thing I've been told is airbrush, not paintbrush.

Looks like a great project, Zac!
Good luck!
