I think it's important how you approach this kit: having just completed the superb CSM Nie17, I rather sailed into the SH Nie11 without too much thought and, in the middle of construction, I hit several problems that I should have considered and dealt with beforehand.
I used to make a lot of vacforms, resin kits and scratchbuilds and would plan ahead for things like wing geometry and mounting positions etc and, had I taken that approach, this build would have been much smoother. The Special Hobby Bebe is not a bad kit and has nicely moulded and fairly accurate components - but it lacks the locating pins and strut mounting points etc that we expect on a modern kit. As long as you approach it with this in mind it will reward with a nice little replica of the N.11.
I hope SH reissue this kit but spend a little time on re-engineering these areas.
Anyway, here she is in the livery of N642 of Escadrille N12 flown by Pierre Dufaur de Gavardie, one of the decal options provided in this OOP release.

Your Nieuport turned out Beautifully Sandy. In spite of the unplanned issues it looks Terrific in your case. Lovely collection by the way!

I know the feeling Sandy - when I started my Roden SPAD I wasn't in the right mindset and took any issues to heart rather than being rational. Your little Noop looks tres magnifique! Well done!

I've this exact one in the past so fully understand where you are coming from regarding assembly.
That said, your problems are evident in the completed model and certainly came out far better effort!
It looks brilliant!

Thank you, guys
I've got the SH Nie16 at the top of the stack and I'm wondering if it's sensible to start it now (since it's fresh in my mind) or start a Wingnut!

A nice addition to your lovely collection of sesquiplanes. Yes, go for Ni23 :)

I would never have thought that you had problems with this one - it looks super in every way. A tribute to your modelling skills.

Exactly my thought! Looks great in a interesting color shade.
And thank you very much to show us your cabinet! Also an impressive collection of cars.

Many thanks for the kind words, everybody.
I must be a masochist - I started chopping parts off the sprues of the SH Nie16 this evening! Not sure what colour scheme will come to mind for this one though!

Beautiful model Sandy, and a very impressive line up it's sitting in! Looking forward to the "16"!

Beautiful work Sandy, one can never have too many Nieuports.

Thanks LC & DW.
I must be a masochist - the N16 kit forced itself into my hands and demanded that I submit!
Since the problems are at the forefront of my mind I thought I might as well get stuck in. (Note two new boxes of knife blades specially bought for the occasion!) I'll try to cut and drill as much as possible before construction this time and probably spray the markings. Might take a while for an update though as I have a few other projects on the go simultaneously.
