Title: Voisin III - 1/72nd scale Flashback kit
Post by: Stuart Malone on February 20, 2022, 09:59:06 PM
It's as far as I can take it.  This kit fought me the entire way.  I found it to be one of the most difficult kits I have ever done.  My skills don't do it justice, but as I said in the 'in progress' section, just to get this off the shelf of shame has been rewarding.  I think my next project is going to be learning how to take decent pictures.

We are always our own sternest critics, Stuart, it looks pretty darned good to me. I'd be happy with that model sitting in my display case.
Well done for completing a beautiful model out of a notoriously difficult kit.

Well done Stuart, it's beautiful. I cannot for the life of me see how you did it. Also, how does one even pick this up to move it?

I don't see how I could ever complete this kit.

Again, so nicely done sir.

Very nicely done indeed Stuart, a very impressive model. The detail, and particularly the rigging, are "top drawer" and all the more so in 1:72 Scale. Lovely work!
Cheers,
Lance

That is an nice model of a very interesting type! You have done a great job in a small scale.
I also like the livre, the bright paint shades.

Thanks for showing,
Frank

As I said a few times in the WiP: the finished product tells nothing of the issues you had in its construction. Congratulations Stuart, she looks fabulous!

One photographic tip: perhaps a background other than white for this aircraft?  ;)

Stuart,

Looking at this I would never have guessed at the problems it has caused you - excellent model in all respects and the rigging is top notch.

Regards

Dave

This is far from being a easy kit , but the end results are well worth your efforts Stuart , Super job on a subject very rarely seen subject .

You have managed to take an abandoned project of a difficult kit and turn it into a Beautiful Model! That rigging is Incredible. When I think of the fight the DH2 rigging is giving Me in 1/32nd scale I can't even imagine tackling this one in 1/72nd!! Well Done all around Stuart.

Many congratulations for finishing this birdcage Stuart. In this sclae the rigging can be a bit of a challenge, but the fragile nature of the aircraft also adds an interesting dimension for the modeller. This is not a subject seen very often in any scale, but to have one in God's Own Scale is a real treat. A very good model - much better than you would have us think.

Stephen.

That's pretty dang far!  Well done.  I made that one and it is indeed a cool plane when done but very delicate to execute.  Looks great!
