The Air Force Museum of NZ is uploading its photo archive for free public access and among the latest visual treasures are never before seen photos from the photo album of WW1 Kiwi ace Keith Caldwell.

The original caption was: Pilots 4 AFC at Clairmaris North." Three pilots of No.4 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, standing in front of a Sopwith Camel at Clairmaris North airfield, France.

Oh wow, I'd missed that! Matthew O'Sullivan, Keeper of Photographs (what a title!) at the AFMNZ has been doing an amazing job digitising the collection. It's still early days but there have been some real gems pop up.
