This 10 min video of de Havilland Mosquito KA 114 is an off-topic treat. Very nice production (of video & plane)

This aeroplane will be starring at the upcoming Wings Over Wairarapa airshow at Hood Aerodrome in 17 days. Of course there will lots of WWI planes flying as well. Any Aussie members should seriously be thinking about coming over The Ditch for this.

Thanks Jamo for posting this excellent video link. I have been watching the build of this aircraft over the years and to see it now flying is amazing. It has been a long process building the aeroplane but the result is a perfect example of the wartime machine. The Mosquito has always been my most favorite aircraft, I have built many models of the type over the years and read just about everything available, it is a beautiful aeroplane. I wish I could get over there for the airshow, one day I will.

Thanks so much Jamo for posting this. I may be a Yank, but watching this made me choke up and shed a tear. Man, that's some beautiful power, and a great living monument to those who served and sacrificed.

James,
Thanks for the New Years Eve Present, I watched it last night. Incredible! I all but broke into a sweat viewing the cockpit take off sequence, so real and very well filmed and the sound..........oh my! Truly well done and a tremendous accomplishment to have one back in the air. Truly one of the "greats"!
Cheers,

James,
There's nothing finer than the sound of a Merlin, doublely so with this awesome Mosquito. Thanks so much for sharing this clip my old friend. It's sad KA 114 is the only flying Mossie left, very sad indeed.
