Title: Video of a Lewis machine gun being fired & loaded
Post by: Jamo on December 31, 2012, 08:16:56 AM
Infantry version, but interesting for all that. 47 round magazine. Has the cooling jacket fitted.

Interesting Jamo. Hard to believe a basic .30 Calibre was so effective; a tribute to the pilots and Gunners that used them as the importance of "getting close to your work" is often mentioned. Thanks for posting this.
Cheers,
Lance

Very instructive. Especially interesting was in seeing how the magazine was loaded.

Cheers,

  James,
Great clip my old friend. I'm somewhat surprised it's not as noisy as the M-60 in 7.62 calibre or the modern Squad Automatic in 5.56 calibre. Thank you for another excellent clip.
Highest Regards,
