Back again. Been a while but I worked up the courage to start this fella.
Hope I can remember how to do this picture thing again . . . Doh!
Cheers lads

Wonderful wiring on the Breadmore engine.

Masking a wing is a bit tedious, but the shading is a task on its own.
Hopefully I can remember what I used to do as I (went to the dark side twice)
A Zero and Corsair . . . . . Always preferred the planes you could see the guts of :)
-
Now that's a great bit of masking. It will be well worth all the work. I so wish I had gone to this much trouble on my build.
Richie
-
Now the result . . . . Low air pressure with the first nozzle taken off of the airbrush.
Time consuming, but worth it, only taking off all that tape is . . . fun . . . Yeah right.
-
Great work. The engine looks awesome.
-
Awesome work on the engine and wing pre shading! This should be an Excellent build to follow along with!
RAGIII
-
The shading on the bottom of the top wing to begin with.
So much tape . . . . I build quite slowly lads, so bit by bit.
Cheers.
-
Forgot the fuzzy shadows for the roundels on the top.
Sorted . . . . :-)
-
Slowly but surely wins every time. All that masking was well worth the effort, the structure is beautifully suggested. I have taken notes and will follow your example on my next project.
Richie
-
Low pressure air (10psi) and 50/50 acrylic to thinner. Plus a steady hand.
And . . . artistic license. But if you are happy with the result, then its right.
Happy Days.
-
Mighty fine work, Dave.
::) ::) ::)

All smiles :)

Told you I was slow :-) One wing finished and slightly weathered. Pics not all that great
will try again, just to prove the shading comes through. Cheers.
-
A bit better . . .
-
Kong , the shading and finish is top notch ! Really nicely executed !
Alexis
-
Wow, this shading is great. Chapeau bas.
-
Looks amazing. I'm doing an FE2 at the moment too, so it is very nice to be able to watch and learn. Great stuff!
-
The shading on the wings is Fantastic! Well Done 8)

Its got wings now. Two bottom ones, and some struts, and eyelets for the
rigging (eventually). Bit of a mission this beastie.
-
And another two for good measure. The file size is very prohibitive.
I dont go near the ******* Photobucket.
-
It looks just like the real thing, it's a battle you seem to be winning in great style! :)
Richie
-
Please don't drop it... :-\
Willem
-
Blimey, mate - that looks great!
Look forward to seeing your next progress report

Amazing work. The wings are incredible!
By the way: If the tiny photobucket images are getting you down, I can recommend Imgur as a user friendly alternative. I’ve been using it for several years now and it has been very good.
-
Wow, it looks great with all those struts and guns pointing upwards!
-
Just GREAT!
Andreas

Looking superb!
