Last one.
The Richtofen figure is from the WnW Albatros DV kit. I finished that in the colours of LT Wolf of Jasta 5 so included the figure with this kit.
Hope you like it.

Very nice work LT, a lovely model.
Cheers,
Dave.

Nicely done Triplane! everyone should have at least one Red One ;D Thanks for sharing your work!

Really like the shade of red you've achieved here LT, what brand/mix did you use? Great rendition of the famous Red Baron machine, as Rick says, every collection has to have one!
Cheers,
Lance

Your triplane looks excellent, LT. Displayed with your MvR figure it really puts it in perspective. Very impressive indeed!
Cheers,
Gary

Great looking DR1 with good shade of red used. Excellent painting work on your MVR figure as well.

Great build and presentation LT. As mentioned, the Red is a nice rendition and gives it a realistic appearance. A real "Barn Burner" LT.
-
Yes, it's the rules. There has to be a red triplane in every collection. Yours is particularly lovely.

Super Dr 1 with, as others have commented, a very realistic shade of red. The figure is extremely well painted and adds a distinctive touch to the vignette.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Lance the red is Tamiya X-7 straight of the bottle but thinned. It has gone over black which had highlighted the ribs to give it some variation.

Beautiful Fokker Dr.1

Beautifully done LT, great overall with some nice detail work. Splendid propeller, and I love MvR's centre parting - presumably caused by that bullet from the FE2b!

Very nice Dr.I and MvR, well done.

That is a very, very beautiful build! The figure just makes it better... ATB, Marc.
-
Very nicely done, indeed.
Is the propeller made from wood or is it painted? The equal-thickness wood layers do really stand out here. Great job!
-
Great looking result and it doesn't have a toy-like appearance. Nice job on the weathering.
-
LT beautiful shade of red on the DR1. Earlier today, before I saw the post, I ordered some Tamiya X7. Did you tone down the gloss?
-
James I tone down the gloss using a product here in Australia called Long Life High Gloss Floor Polish. I guess it is similar to Future which i cannot for the life of me find here. I mix it 6 parts polish to one part Tamiya Flat Base (XF-21). That ratio gives a finish that I like.
Przemol, for the prop, it is painted. I use the RB Products laminated prop mask and airbrush very thin paint, misting the layers and build up the finish.
-
Great job on your triplane! It's hard to pass on the Baron.

Nothing like Red Triplanes ! Nice choice to use the altese crosses before the final rendition !
