Roden have released the box art and decal sheet for its new 1/32 Spad XIII kit due for release this month
The kit is a Spad XIII Early. We understand both early and late versions will be produced.

Excellent News Dave! The box art is very well done!

Excellent - and very generous of Roden to give us Italian, French and RFC markings all in the one kit. I'll buy the kit then decide which scheme I'll go with. (Who's kidding, I'll buy several!)

So glad to see it!
Any chance for some sprue pictures?
-
That’s great. Probably I could buy another model kit... there’s just one left in the basement... ::)
Find the lie in this sentence... no, I WILL buy a Roden SPAD, that’s not the point.

Thanks, Dave. Your post and the beautiful Box Art made my day!
Any suggestion as to who will be able to get it to me in the US at the earliest? :)

Hi Gene
I don't know who the major Roden stockists in the US are but I would think people like Sprue Bros for sure would be one of the fastest sources for the Roden Spad in the USA. Any Roden stockist would be sure to know this kit is on the way.
cheers

I'll be watching Sprue Brothers, but Hannant's will likely have it sooner ... and when my Hannants order finally arrives here in Florida, Sprue Brothers will have it in stock! Win-win. ;D

Yes indeed! It was nice to participate in the feedback- maybe that helped? I’ll be doing the French, Italian and 23 Sqn. With US to come - so that’s 4 so far :)
PS nice artwork hope the plastic is top notch;)

Hope the Hispano Suiza engine fits properly in the model with the engine cowl on. Might be an early acid test as to the the degree of improvement Roden has made over their first generation of WWI 1/32 scout planes.

Great news,I will buy that for sure!
and great options, with two italian camo.
Baracca, expecially!.

Assuming there is an engine included I would agree. I Must admit though that since only the bottom portion shows when a screen is used on the side the fit of the SPAD VII engine didn't bother me much. Nor did the lack of an engine in the Old Hobby Craft SPAD XIII ::)

Me, not so much. It looks like the mirror image from their Spad VII boxing... :-)
