I am not so good with resin, actually I am not that good a builder, but I do still enjoy making models!!!
Finally got around to finish these, had some extra time with apersonal corona lockdown (tested negative, luckilly!!)
First up is the very old Copper State Model no. 4801, the very first they ever did when it was still in America and almost all resin (and some white metal).
The decals worked, almost, not too bad after almost 25 years. The resin was very hard and very much all pinholes on the bottom, no fun...
Hardly any interior and the engine is mostly from Eduard.

Next is the Karaya Albatros D.XI late, a wonderfull kit.
The wings are fantastic, as are the guns (pre-rolled pe mantles, great!!). Overall fit was ok and the decals are very fine and thin (actually. a little too thin, destroyed one fuselage code sadly).
Instructions are not too good as is the interior, there is hardly anything there. But I fitted some seat harness from Eduard and a few instruments (also Eduard) and it looks ok.
A few pinholes here and there and had to scratch one of the struts as it was hollow and fell apart.
The engine is a masterpiece, only added a few parts and actually fits in the cowling!!

I guess it is painted wrong, found out later that the instructions calles for lozenge fabric on the wings and tail, but I followed the box art. Might not be correct, but I like the look

Great work!
Really different as well - I'd never heard of these until now.

Not a very good modeller? I beg to differ having looked at these. Given that they are resin too I congratulate you on two first class builds of two very interesting and unusual types.

You can be proud of this models!
I think the first one is a Dornier? I miss this one in my stash.
I'm owner of the other Albatros kit variant, but have not build a complete resin kit until now.
Cheers,
Frank

Hidde my friend ,
You are too hard on yourself both builds are fantastic ! Resin kits can be very challenging especially the old resin kits compared to newer ones . Really like the work in the Albatros cockpit , very nicely done !

These are some great builds, Hidde! Not easy models to complete, but you have done a stunning job! Very interesting prototypes, too. Well done! Marc.
