Beautifully done Kent. A conversion I'd love to attempt some day, you've really "aced" it with a magnificent model!
Cheers,
Lance

Kent , I must say that this is your best to date ! Very stunning model :)

Very impressive indeed. The natural wood and linen are spectacular.

You couldn't ask for a better outcome.
Excellent!

Very nice indeed. The figures have such a natural pose. The wooden fuselage looks good too. Very nice overall.

Thank you for your kind words! Lance, Alexis, Rick Guy, Hugh, Prz, Bob & Marc - I really appreciate it!
I'm too, very happy with the result - Still feels a bit like 'playing catchup' though. First time Linen decals, first time aircraft wire wheels...
Second floatplane conversion, better get on with it 'while the iron is hot'...
Regards: Kent

Fantastic model Kent! The linnen decals are really beautiful.

Hi Kent,
I admire your conversion and scratch building skills - Exceptional model of an aircraft not yet produced in this scale by any company,
Mike
-
Thank you for your compliments Mike, appreciate it! Your hardcore detailing quest is very inspiring!
Obviously I've restricted myself to 1/32 scale builds, preferably Sea/Floatplanes...
There are so many seaplanes in history, which in my eyes are so much more interesting than most available kits.
Subject is King, I will go very far to get a historically interesting model in my collection, rather than just another OOB.
Luckily I'm able to bring some of them to life in 1/32 and the extra work just adds to the satisfaction of finishing a build.
The scratch process of finding solutions, working out how to, is for me the most rewarding part of model building.
And it's no secret, the element of having unique models in my collection is also very inspiring!

Pretty good job for 'an old modeller trying to catch up'. The figures add a lot to the scene. A waterside seaplane ramp diorama would be awesome. Great job on this conversion, Kent.

Just to ad my compliments and echo all of the above compliments, Marvelous Work in every aspect !

WOW! Great conversion subject and outstanding modeling to accomplish it and look like it came that way. A lesser modeler would have given up.....oh Wait, they have! The floats are a work of modeling skill as are the stretched and lengthened wings, one could never tell. Great build log too. As mentioned also, "Great Presentation" with the figures and the dog, nicely add some sense of proportion.
-
Wonderful finish, I love the transluscent effect on the wings especially. This is a proper work of art!
-
What a beautiful model Kent, superb work!
Cheers,
Dave.
