Hi all,
Here's the completed model of the Roland D.VIa, Ser No: 3615/18 during 1918 (Pilot and Jasta not known).
Wingnut Wings kit
Decals from Aviattic and ProperPlane
Propeller by ProperPlane
Rigging - GasPatch turnbuckles, mono-folamant and micro-tube.
Figures from Model Cellar
Paints used Tamiya, Alclad and Mr. Colour.

Beautiful job on the wood effect, and I think your weathering is spot-on. The overall semi-gloss look is fantastic -- looks like a colorized photo from 1918. Thanks for sharing the model.

This is spectacular work Mike, it's a really outstanding example of what we all strive to achieve. It's all there, incredible detail, skilled painting and just enough "grunge and wear' to give it a real look. Your efforts just keep getting better, and add a great deal to our Forum!

That looks GREAT ! I like the subtle weathering and the wood effect on the fuselage and the prop - nicely done. ...and I like the figures too =).
