My favorite WWII Luftwaffe fighter is the Fw 190. This is my most recently completed project, Eduard's superb 1/48 Fw 190A-6.
Kit decals, Master Model metal pitot and gun barrels. Brake lines and other undercarriage details added using bits of Evergreen styrene strip, fine solder, copper and lead wire.
Paints are Gunze Mr Color.

Thank you Alexis! It's the new-tooled version. A terrific kit and very enjoyable build. Which is good as I have a stack of them in my closet. ;D

Great job Eric, you've really done justice to a beautiful looking aircraft! Super detailing, very well done paint work and realistic wear and weathering, it's all very impressive!

Thanks Guy! The chequers half paint (white), half kit decals (black). Eduard did a brilliant job designing the black sections to fit around the cowling curves and bumps. Only a little touchup was needed around the front edges and that's easily done with satin black acrylic paint.

My favourite German fighter from WWII as well and Eduard's models are just great! Fantastic result and great work on the chequers!
I did virtually the same scheme some years ago... very striking!

Looks great, especially "clean" without the bomb rack and tank(s).
Was this one of those aircraft based in The Netherlands?

Thank you! Indeed it was. It was the aircraft of ace Heinz-Gunther Luck of 1./JG1 based in the Netherlands.

That turned out beautifully, Eric. Nice job indeed.
I met a pilot (Oskar Bosch) a few years ago who flew the FW 190 and he had some great stories. They were very wary of the P-51D Mustangs.
