Hello Everyone,
As a quick and dirty mojo build, I have chosen to add a little Nieuport 11 to my display cabinet (which still only exists in potentia...).
The Eduard Ne11 Bebe was originally released in 2001 and subsequently reboxed several times, the latest was this 2016 Weekend edition with two marking options.
Option A is the red, white and blue (tricolour I guess) scheme flown by Lt. Armand de Turenne of Escadrille N. 48 in 1916. Option B is a two tone Light green and Dark green acmo option with Aluminium Doped undersides flown by Sgt Raoul Lufbery, Escadrille N. 124 in 1916. I think I'm tending towards this latter scheme, as I've not seen it around on line anywhere.

Here are the main components clean up and ready for paint. I've also done some assembly work on the cockpit, drilling the lightening holes in the seat and also cutting the slots in the Horizontal Stab for the elevator control lines to pass through. As soon as I can get into the garage again, I'll fire up the airbrush and get some paint on ready to start assembling everything.

This should be a very quick build...

I have built exactly that kit (but I added a PE set, real wood and a small Stuff rotary, since I can't live without ;D).
It was pure fun - the newer generation Eduard printed decals are great!

Hi Frank,
Thanks for the link to your build. To be honest, this kit is fighting me every step of the way! I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to re glue the rudder bar... Every time I try to handle the closed up and assembled fuselage and lower main plain for painting, I fumble, drop it on the desk and something else breaks... On Sunday night, I put it all away in the box so that I could get myself in the right head space to tackle it again.
Cheers,
Hugh

I understand your frustration! I have had a similar experience a few times Myself ::) The most recent is the RFC SPAD VII. I just move on Now to another project until I figure out what to do 8)

Thanks everyone,
All suggestions taken on board.
This is now back in the box (It fits in the box with the lid on) while I finish the Roden BE12... I'll come back to it.
Cheers,
Hugh
