Title: My latest diversion from model building
Post by: kensar on February 14, 2021, 10:48:20 AM
This is my 'other hobby' when the building gets too nerve wracking or is stalled.
I got this last weekend but haven't gotten out on the dirt roads yet due to cold and rainy weather (and work at the job).

A Specialized Diverge

It's a good way to blow off some steam.

Beautiful gravel bike!  I ride too, although the weather in PA this winter has pretty much kept me indoors this year.  Looking forward to roads and gravel in the Spring though.  When my daughter lived in AZ it was always nice to visit in the winter and get done outdoor miles in with the temperate climate.  She lives in MI now, and the weather is worse there than in PA!

Get out and enjoy that lovely as soon as you can!

Best,

Bob

Hi Bob.  I can deal with either the cold or the wet, but both at the same time makes me hesitate.
I'm lucky to live in the middle of some of the best off-road riding areas in this part of the country - western NC.

Very sweet ride Ken !

Never been on a gravel bike , but they are getting more popular in my area . I stick with my Cannondale though  ;)

Here it's minus 30 - 42 with the wind chill , not many folks ride here in the winter and not something I would be . It would ruin my bike ...both shocks would freeze blowing the seals , O-rings in my brakes would crack .

I evny you for the warmer climate ...I don't care fr this cold weather anymore  :(

Hope you are able too get out on her soon and break her in !

Thanks for the compliments on the new bike.  I've had it out a few times now and its so easy to ride due to the revised geometry that Specialized has done on it.  Not skittish or demanding of your attention to keep it on line.  I'm really enjoying it.
