The final gallery of my second Fee. The early version, Baroda 15, from 23Sqn on March 29th, 1916, when it became famous for being brought down almost intact and with wounded crew by Max Immelmann.

Ungainly? Fragile? Hard to imagine it flew at all?
Well, here are a few photos showing the unbelievable versatility of this aircraft. In the period of WW1 when the progress in aviation was unequalled and many designs were becoming obsolete in the short time between production and deployment, this amazing aircraft remained in service for almost 3 years! From the early fighter of early 1916 to the very efficient night bomber in late 1918!!! I am in love, again, with this aircraft!

Absolutely Stunning build Przemol! I would settle for building Half as Good as You :D everything is Fantastic from Construction through rigging!

That’s eye wateringly lovely Prze!
Absolutely stunning. Don’t think I could face rigging the tail...

Very nice pair indeed

That is just a stunning and completely impressive build Przemo! It looks just lovely and is beautifully done! The two Fee's together are a treat! Regards, Marc.

Attention to detail is stunning. Beautiful models.

Gorgeous Prze, it's got it all and more. Seeing them both in one frame is a real treat. Your work, as so well illustrated here, is exceptional and your skills beyond match. You bring a lot to this Forum and we are privileged to have your contributions as part of our collective content.
Looking forward to more in future!
Cheers,
Lance

I can't say enough about your build, Prze - it's really stunning. I absolutely love that early scheme. Every aspect of it is worthy of praise - the rigging, turnbuckles, weathering, and you've done a superb job of eliminating that seam in the cockpit by the pilots position (the one I see when I look at my build from a few years ago!). Your model has certainly given me a burning desire to tackle another Fe2b!
Cheers,
Gary

I really admire your clean work which you are able to achieve , well done Prez :)

An excellent build Przemol, to your usual standard. Plenty of rigging to get lost in.
-
Thank you, everybody, for your overwhelming welcome to my model(s). I feel overly flattered...
And to those, who feel daunted by the rigging, I will keep on saying, that rigging is not difficult. I daresay that if I managed to get some skill with it, than everyone can. The method with eyelets, tubes and monofilament, which I learnt 10 years ago from Des and Bob Booth, is easy! 😉

Amazing build of this kit - truly one of the best WW1 builds I have seen. In particular your rigging is supreme - I definitely am going to try the shorter lengths of polymide tube on my next build as you have done here. Any tips for threading the line trough that stuff? That was my big challenge the last time I used it. You must have perfected the method given the amount of rigging on this subject :)
-
i loved following your build of this kit and the end result is simply fantastic

Absolutely top shelf modelling Przemol, superlatives fail me.A great treat to see both together also.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thank you, Dave, Early Bird Fan and Petrov!

I am using the fishing line with a specified diameter (0.12 and 0.16) and the tubing selected with respect to its internal diameter, which should be a bit more than doubled line diameter. And thus I have absolutely no problems with passing the line twice through it. First pass requires no comments and for the second one I hold the tube on the line between the thumb and the point finger of the left hand and then I use the right hand holding the line in tweezers a couple of milimeters from its end - just a push through and voila.
I suppose the key is the tube with the proper internal diameter...
I hope it helps you, Petrov.

Absolutely stunning build Przemek! What next?

Thank you, Paul and Jurek.
Absolutely stunning build Przemek! What next?
Well, this one but in a more exotic livery.

Outstanding, sir! I have three WNW kits, none of which I've started yet. I also have the PT-17 kit. A friend of mine gave it to me because he said it was unbuildable. I was thinking of starting on it to see what he was talking about.

Thank you, Jimmy.
I wonder what made your friend claim Roden's PT-17 is unbuildable. Surely, not shake-and-bake one but it looks very promising. I am currently assembling and treating the joints between the wings and aileron halves as well as cleaning the wealth of interior bits. Quite tedious but nothing unfeasible so far... One just needs to forget, how much spoiled we are by the quality of WNW moulding...
-
Well, I checked with him again concerning the Roden Pt-17. He referred me to his youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-euIbPztsGU

That is what I supposed. I have seen this movie and I think he got too much dihedral on the lower wings. And even if the cabane struts are too short, they can be lengthened. I have done things like that before. 😉 Besides, there are a couple of these kits built if you search through the web 🙂

Thank you, Frank. I am glad you like it.

The last touch, the carved propeller. Veneer from KoTeBi and Mr.Decal, the boss plates from spare WNW props, the Boulton&Paul decal from the kit. The Fee is now fully complete :)

Absolutely beautiful build PrzemeL!

Thank you, Bob and Kent - such positive comments from you are expecially valuable for me.
-
Wherever I look I see all great details. The way how the tailbooms are mounted on the wings, the rigging, the engine...........
I think this is a piece of art.
-
Such a beauty! I really enjoyed the build log and the completed model is really stunning. Very well done.

Thank you, Fvdm and Giuseppe. Very much appreciated comments.

Prez I must apologies for not commenting before but my appearances here have been very erratic of late.
This is truly another of your masterpieces - and of one of those iconic aircraft. The superb details that you manage to incorporate on your models are breath taking - this one is no exception. The rigging is outstanding and the overall finish just brilliant.
Stephen.

Thank you Stephen for your usual kind comments. No need to be sorry for anything. I just hope your less frequent visits to this forum are not related to anything serious.

As always, your work is superb !!!
