Nice model. Interesting addition to the Nie collection.
I've only ever seen it on plans or the few pictures extant: in 3D we see what a curious beast it was. Must have been a nightmare trying to climb into that cockpit.
From underneath all the roundels must have hypnotized an enemy being bounced!
Nice one.

Nice model. Interesting addition to the Nie collection.
Exactly my thoughts! Top!

I've only ever seen it on plans or the few pictures extant: in 3D we see what a curious beast it was. Must have been a nightmare trying to climb into that cockpit.
I think, not much different to the biplane. The middle wing is far away in the front, and the top wing is, also due to the cut out, mostly after the cockpit.
I find the cut out on the rear edge of the upper wing somehow interesting. It is mole or less useless in this configuration and is a sign, the there was a different layout before.

I must build this bird too!

Cheers,
Frank

Fantastic Alexis!  An interesting addition to your Nieuport roster.  It is such an unusual configuration that it is somewhat difficult to get used to.  Nonetheless, you've done a marvelous job of creating a lovely model of this unique triplane.  Very well done.

Best regards,

Bob

Truly fantastic result, Alexis. And watching it makes me wonder, why did they do those horrible things to a nice decent Nieuport?  ;D

Hello guys and thank you so much , all very kind of you  :)

Yes it is weird design and a failing one at that . But still there is that certain feel which draws you in , or at least for me it does , it is funky looking !

Prze , they did those horrible things to a Nieuport because they were under the influence ...I don't think it was Tabacco in their pipes !

I really like odd looking machine - but tis one does take the biscuit! I wonder if it flew - at least in a straight line and then down again!

Stunning model and certainly worth having in a collection.

Stephen.

Guten Tag Stephen  :)

Yes it did fly but not well do to wing fluttering of the top wing and never went in production . Other flying charateristics played factors as well .

Thank you so much Stephen  :)

Your model really turned out beautifully, Alexis. For such an awkward looking aircraft, it's such an interesting build - and wonderful result from your busy hobby bench. Congrats!
Cheers,
Gary

That looks really interesting. Amazing how early aviation overcame the physics of flight.

Neat-Oh, Alexis.  I guess WNW will never make the Nieuport triplane!

I want to make a flying model of that sucker...

Well done!  ;)
