Title: Roden 1/48 SE5a
Post by: Dave W on October 01, 2020, 11:56:13 AM: Occasionally my cluttered workbench sees a model through to completion and the latest to emerge is the Roden 1/48 scale Hispano-engined SE5a in the unique markings of Queensland, Australian ace Stan Dallas.

This has been a fun project of a very enjoyable kit, which was quite forgiving of my hand nerve damage issues.

The Dallas aircraft scheme is hand painted using a home made mix of colours drawn from the Vallejo and Humbrol acrylics ranges. Simplified rigging is with rolled electrical wire.

The base is a thrift store photo frame and the pilot figure from Eduard's 1/48 RFC set.
