Okay, I overlooked this one when posting my completed builds. My first WNW kit! My daughter liked the cover art, so that's the scheme I chose (I have another with decals for Rudolph Berthold's Jasta 18 machine). This was an OOB build with Bob's Buckles and monofilament for the rigging, and the kit was a pleasure to build. A very smart looking aeroplane! I hope you like it. (I just got Photobucket up and working agan, so I wanted to post something.)

Beautiful job on this one Bob. I was considering this scheme however the Decalling scared me off; certainly no room for error. You've done a great job on that, well done and congratulations on a very nice model.
Cheers,
Lance :)

Lovely. And right, your daughter has a good taste. It is my favourite scheme, too 8)

Great build, Bob. What paint did you use for your silbergrau? I always have a hard time making it look right. You nailed it.

Painting is beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys!
Tim, I simply followed the instruction booklet for silbergrau: 2 parts Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum and 1 part Tamiya XF-19 Sky Grey. It seemed to work pretty well.

quite a nice pfalz. my question is what did you do to tone down the wnw lozenge? it definately looks more muted that the oob decal sheet.
-
Alby:
I didn't like the garish tone of the kit lozenge, so I airbrushed Polyscale Dust over it to fade and mute it a bit. Not as nice as Microsculpt fabric texture or the new Wind & Wire lozenge, but much better than the stock lozenge, IMHO.

Bob,
another nice kit. I just added a little more to wear. Oil, dirt, mud on the wheels etc.

I like that scheme Bob and you did a great job putting this one together. Max has a neat story as well, so this is on my to do list.
