Hi All,
I am currently finishing up my Salmson interior. All wood was done using oils, color bits are using MRP paints, and rigging is via EZ line. I still have a bit of rigging to do, as well as attaching a few small pieces whose oil paint have yet to dry completely. I made a few blemishes, namely the belts (attached one to many, whoops), and frustratingly, having to re-drill the rigging holes on the bracing structure post assembly. I have to go back to flying on Monday, so I'm trying to get the interior wrapped up without rushing it.

Looks top notch! What color are you using for the blue fittings? Have you decided on a color scheme/squadron yet?

Blue Fittings were MRP-133 Blue-Grey. I intend on doing SAL 28/381 scheme. Something about the caped elephant. Seems like the most popular scheme

That is some really nice work there :)

Fantastic interior work! I Love your wood work and other details! This kit was one of My favorite WNW builds so I am following with interest.

Excellent!

Your wood work looks fantastic! The cockpit is very nice! The observer's seat doesn't look like it would let the him relax, i guess that is one way to help you keep your attention.

amazing work....

Coming along beautifully Patrick, nice clean paint work and the rigging detail sets everything off very nicely. Just a recommendation: Winsor Newton has a product called "Liquin" which cuts drying time of their oils dramatically, I've used it for years and really like it. Oils used for wood graining on plastic will dry in approximately 24 hours, a real bonus!

Use the "Show More" Button on this list to find it......

I like your wood tones, nicely done. It's a great build and your doing a fine job, extra seat belts not withstanding, the seat looks that much more imposing.

Nice and clean, great interior work.

Very neat all around!

Been getting crushed with flying at work, but still have had a bit of time to work on the Salmson. Engine is finished and I painted / detailed the inside of the fuselage. Slow progress is still progress!

Hello all. It's been almost a year since I posted any updates on my Salmson 2. I have not done a very good job documenting the build process, however, the build is finally done! Painting was done using MRP Acrylic Lacquers, which I tried to match as best I could with the WNW callouts. The bird took longer than expected to finish, although I put it on hold to build a 1/48 jet for commission in the middle of the build. Constructive feedback/criticism welcome! Apologies for the poor quality of pictures, it's the best my phone could do.
