Anyone know if there has been a datafile for this aircraft or maybe it appeared in a Windsock magazine at some point with detailed plans/drawings? Thanks!

Yes, it was probably the May/June issue from 1995, IIRC.

There is Pfalz Aircraft of World War I by Jack Herris put out by Flying Machines Press.It has photos, drawings and profiles of all Pfalz aircraft including the D,VIII.
