Title: Fokker Dr.I strip down, scratch built (1:45)
Post by: Saso Krasovec on November 30, 2012, 05:50:20 PM
Kit: scratch built (1:45)

Here are some photos of my Fokker Dr.I strip down modell. I used plans from the Windsock Datafile Special and photographs throu the Internet. Allso, I photographed beautifull flying replica in La Ferte Alais, Paris, France.
I used different plastic sheets, cooper wires, thin metal foil and different tickness of fishing line. The varnished plywood: base coat was linien color, grained wood was drawn by brush and REVELL wood color. Finally was model coated with coat of Future.

Incredible workmanship and attention to detail, this is a superb scratch build, and what makes it more amazing is the scale, extremely well done, you are a true master.

I'm planing to make a few fokkers SMER + scratch. The Smer's Fokker is close to this scale.

Welcome Saso!  What a brillant subject, and superbly executed.  Your craftsmanship, skill and patience (it must have taken lots for that level of detail!) are breathtaking!  Simply beautiful.  I am in awe!   ;D   Very well done, indeed.

I'd love to see a build log of any of your work, but particularly one like this.  I am sure we could all learn some helpful things.  Thanks for sharing!

Regards,

Bob

That's stunning!

I'd love to see what you can do with a Wingnut's kit?
