here is my take on Eduards kit . Basically out of the box with small details being added in the cockpit and other bits here and there . Overall it was a fun build even with the few areas which decided to put a fight , those became knockouts .

Beautiful model Terri!
Now isn't all that varnished wood and CDL ever so much prettier than a refugee from an aluminum recycler hiding under a coat of OD? Just kidding, horsey thingies are pretty too. You really brought out the D.I hiding in that old Eduard release, no small feat of modeling. Way to go!

Terri, as written in your build report (thanks for showing your build in detail) you converted this old Eduard kit into a beauty!
This star strutter is a very special biplane and a enrichment of each collection, especially if it looks as great as yours.
Your models are getting better and better, what will be the next project?
Cheers,
Frank

You've really outdone yourself with this beauty, T! All of your models have blown me away ever since we first met on the 'drome, but this one really stands out. So rich in texture and color, an absolute joy to behold.
Cheers,
Bud

Now that's a real piece of work. I've always liked that machine and you have done it proud. I really like the dark fuselage. I'd be too scared to go that rich and you nailed it...

Absolutely beautiful Terri, I really enjoyed watching this come together. That woodwork, wow! :)

As always I enjoyed your build Log Terri! The results are Magnificent! The struts and fuselage in particular are eye catching!

I completely agree with what others have written: you have really brought out the best in this kit and added some too. The star strutters have always fascinated me because they look so awkward, and with that huge fuel tank on the top wing this aircraft looks more ungainly that most, but I still love it! The wood and CDL colours are striking IMHO, and combined with the features already described, so much superior to anything in OD and with only 1 wing!

Hi All !
Thank-you so much for the very kind comments , they are very appreciated :) 8)
Stephen , it's not a fuel tank on this build . That is the machine gun and housing ;)

Compliments at full throttle Terri!
It's a little gem, with outstanding wood reproduction!

Very nice one. Despite the lack of rigging those natural material colours make it stand as an essence of early aviation. And this is what I tend to like most. Great effort, Terri.

Magnificent finish Terri, what a terrific addition to your collection. A special design done beautifully, and a real tribute to your skills, you really "aced" this one!
Cheers,
Lance

Very well done, Ma'am!
A treat to the eyes.
The wood finish is beautiful, and most convincing.
These were unique aeroplanes, and it great see one modeled.
