The WNW's Fok.DVII will be released tomorrow - Tuesday the 20th of November in other words ;)
Comes from a reliable source and one that will remain secret.
Get those credit cards ready boys! ;D ;D
Disclaimer: This information was passed on to me by a trusted source. If it turns out to be complete baloney I apologise unreservedly. :-\

Thanks for the tip, Von Buckle. Of course, I've been checking the site 5 times a day already. ;D I was predicting today or tomorrow. I am ready! Wonder if there will be anything else with it? Not that I'm greedy . . .
Regards,
Bob

Never mind the DVII, still waiting for my Tripe to be dispatched after ordering last Wednesday...
-
I just got my Tripe shipping notice today, and I ordered last Tursday. :)
-
Oh crap - I've bought a Gotha & a DH.2 in the last month, I can't possibly buy a bloody Fokker as well.
I am still admirably avoiding purchasing the Triplane....
-

About the same for me: I got my shipping notifiaction this morning as well! :D
-
I ordered the Tripe last Friday......still no notice of shipping but I suspect the Folks at WNW are swamped. I'm holding off a few more days on the Christmas Wishlist with my good Spouse hoping the DVII hits the front page. (not that I don't have lots of kits in the que)
Cheers,
Lance ::)

I must be the only guy out here that isn't waiting for the D.VII. I'll only buy one if Rowan decides to include some captured Canadian markings on his sheet that is sure to follow the release of the kit. The Canadian markings are very small in number and if we're really lucky he can find room to squeeze them in.
Cheers,
Chris

I am not that bothered about the DVII - I wold much rather have the EIII but am waiting to see what Christmas brings. The tripe release was unexpected, so I treated myself.
I have the DVII in 1:48 from Eduard, the Hungarian version.
-
Hm.
At least here in Germany today is the 20th...
Still no new Fokker available. :-\
But that doen`t matter too much - my stash is still high enough for some years to come.

Given that WNW's security is better than the CIA, I was doubtful of the "I've got a secret" post quoting an unnamed but "reliable source" that must stay secret saying the D.VII would be released today.
These kinds of speculative posts based on anonymous sources are not helpful.

It's 7.26pm on the 20th in New Zealand - they usually update their site about 6.00pm, so looks like it isn't going to happen today. Oh we'll.
Oh but they did add another image to the page for the D.VII though to tease us with the cowling removed... They just know how to bait us well I guess :P ;D
I bet the sites getting mega hits today.

Looks like the only update coming out of NZ today. :-[
I will keep my mouth firmly closed in future.

Well it got hearts a flutter... ;D
SWMBO is primed and ready now, so some good has come of it Bob. ;)

That's a tad harsh - I find them great fun and just another excuse to visit the WNW homepage!
Anticipation is great.
-
Please keep talking Bob. I did understand what you said even though tongue was firmly in cheek. I find the comments very helpful as it gives me a source of entertainment. We are talking model airplanes here right?

Crikey mate! All said in speculative fun, I can assure you. :-[
But! I do agree, it doesn't help and one will refrain from falsely elevating peoples hopes in future.
Polishing size 10 boots ready for kicking said source up the back passage! :D

No need to apologize Bob. As Steve said, it's just a model airplane we're talking about. I had fun with it and as soon as I fired up my computer this morning, I immediately checked WnW to see if the D.VII was there. My day wasn't ruined in the least to see it's not.
Cheers,
Chris

Jeez.. let's get some perspective here. It's a bleeping MODEL KIT, not a kidney transplant. Besides, for most of us it will go in the "unbilt" pile anyway.
-
I for one did not believe it for a minute; I was checking the WNW Site by sheer coincidence this morning. Curse you "vongetemallspinning"! :) :) :) ;)

Off to the hospital to donate a kidney stone while I wait for the DVII to plumpen my stash ;D
I love this forum!

Bob - please can you let me have 6 numbers between 1 & 49?
I'll then now which numbers to avoid!

I noticed today that they have put up another picture of the DVII. So they have been putting up one new color picture at a time. There is only one black and white left. This makes me think they are doing a count down to the release date. I know the latest picture went color recently I just don't know if it was today or yesterday.
-
I wonder why the delay? Are we getting a surprise? Perhaps a special edition? Or may be a decal less kit with several decal sheets to chose from....
Can't wait to see what marking options are in the box.
Perhaps tomorrow will be the day. This is fun.

Its hard to say. But they certainly don't need to ADD to the suspense or anticipation of this release! Getting just a tad annoying to mr ::)

I think he has something there. Its tomorrow, tomorrow I tell ye. I was only on the phone to PJ this morning who confirmed the very same thing.
some or none of that is true. Whenever it is it will be before i'm ready to build it as my stash of WNW kits has grown to 4 and I like that tripe as well.
-
As exciting as this is WNW is at the mercy of their offshore manufacturer. Cant sell a box without the parts in it.

Yeah...but! We can stack those empty boxes in the loft and pretend! ;D :P :-*

True..and a good idea. I have actually come home with a kt to put it in the stash...only to find I have said kit......an extra empty box would be less expensive at least....

I did that so many times I stuck everything on a spreadsheet.

I'll still be buying your eyelets and pre-cut tubing - and with 26 Biplanes in the stash, allied to 2 eyelets required for each hole because of the carpet, you'll be busy for a while yet!
-
Glad you had a chuckle her Buckle...
-
I got a chuckle out of it as well. It is amazing how personalities seem to come through, even through postings on a forum. I am waiting as anxiously as the next modeler on this forum for the DVII, in fact; if I think on it long enough, I have since I built my first Aurora DVII in about 1958, so in order to divert my attention and angst away from the DVII, I am working on the Gotha. What a neat kit! I can't wait to see the comments and remarks regarding the DVII upon its release. Get out the fireworks boys!

Your diversion will benefit many of us Mark, as we can follow your lead on the Gotha we have in the stash--some day. ;) I'm still intimidated by it's size. ::)

I suspect something is going on at WNW. I went on the web site and it was all in a tizzy like it was prior to the release of the Sopwith Tripe. HMMMMMMMMMMMM! :o
-
Maybe it's coming out next Tuesday... haha ;D
BVB :)
-
Forum should have had a betting pool with a prize for who guesses closest for the actual DVII release date and time. Prize could be a Battle Axe DVII....
:)
-
.... for target practice?....
-
...all this jesting and taunting is unbearable...if WNW reads this they'll just keep toying with us.....
Steve
-
All the Fokkers are released! (Fok), (Alb) (OAW) plus three decal sheets. One for each manufacturer!
-
Just wow so much goodness. 8)
210 parts & the decal options are out standing. All this for $79. Amazing.
