So I would like to present the last participant of my short comparison, here we have Albatros D.III Oeffag flown by Othmar Wolfan.
He gained his first and only kill flying this aircraft when, on August 1st, 1918, he downed a Sopwith Camel from 66 Sqd. RAF. On the 14th of
September, 1918, he was severely injured in a crash, and sat out the rest of the war in a hospital bed.

Just to sum up that project in few words: IMHO BM came out better .. all efords made: swirls, polish markings accompanied by the wood grain and spoked wheels look simply better.
BM still can compete with such a big market players as Eduart and the outcome is still comparable.

What a stunning pair, K! The finish on both is beautiful and very realistic. I really like your wood tones as well. Excellent work on one of my favorite subjects! ;D
Now, if WNW would only produce an OEFFAG in 1/32. I can resist the kitbash bug a little while longer I guess, but your beautiful models weaken my resistence. ;)

Bob

Both are absolutely gorgeous, K. Your weathering, wood grain, shading are all superb. I completely agree with your assessment of the Blue Max kits. My favorite model in my collection is the BM Sopwith Dolphin. Great kits that still hold up well.
