Hello dear fellow modellers,
Due to my recent changing from being a modeller to being a nurse my modelling time was cut extremely short. But things got better again and there’s some hours left to finish this one:

CSM‘s Nieuport is a lovely kit that makes aftermarket items completely superfluous in my opinion. I build it oob except from some fishing line for the rigging.

The mechanic standing on the wheel (great unique pose) is from the CSM range of resin figures. They are fantastically sculpted and flawlessly cast in dark grey resin. For bringing a little extra, I changed the heads for hornet heads and sculpted a bonnet de police 1916 style. His helper is a new Kellerkind figure. I changed the brush in his hand for a wrench.

The pilot, Monsieur Herbelin, is also a CSM offering. I changed his head as well for a hornet head where I added a flying helmet. The original head wears an officer‘s kepi, and I wanted my pilot getting ready immediately before taking off

I enjoyed this project from the beginning to the end and I am keen on any new CSM kits, especially the Nieuport 21....
Best regards

Another masterpiece from you talented hands, Andreas! Both the Nieuport and the figures are superbly done.

Andreas, if I'm not totally confused I have seen this Nieuport in real.
But it is very nice to see it again with the completed figures - you converted it again to a story telling diorama!
I like all: the build, painting, weathering, figures ....
Cheers,
Frank

I changed the heads for hornet heads ... .
A beautifully expressed scene!!
What are "hornet heads", please?

A great scene, excellently depicted!

Lost for words. That is a superb vignette brought to life by the figures which are mini works of art in their own right. Like Frank i could easily have mistaken the Nieuport for the real thing. Modelling at its very best.

Thank you all very much for your very generous comments. I really appreciate them!
Gene, Hornet heads mean resin heads made by Hornet and Wolf. They are sold in packs of 5 Heads and can replace every head of every 1/35 or 1/32 figure on the market. I personally love their variety of expressions (http://www.hornetandwolf.com/Hornet/headsets/index.htm)
It’s not the case that CSM heads for their figures were of any defect, I just like to give every figure I paint a certain individual touch.
