CSM have (kind of) announced a „Starstrutter“ in 1/32th scale on their FB-page! Have a look!!
-
Yep!
This is pretty exciting as this is an interesting aircraft.
-
Yeah, at last!!! :D

Really great news! Gratulations for realizing this great subject, Edgar and Slava!
Bye,
Manni
-
SUPERB! this one's on my "red list"--keen on it, no kit available, daunting to scratchbuild.
-
Very cool subject and choice, though it worries me that WNW also has posted a AH aircraft in progress; fingers are crossed that their subject is not also the HB D.I....
-
^^ Based on some posts I have seen on here about the specifics of the Austro-Daimler engine displayed (number of valves per piston, IIRC), probably from Edgar of CSM, I think the next WNW offering is going to likely be an Oeffag Albatros and not the "star-strutter". TIFWIW, JMHO, etc...
-
oh, that is fantastic news!!
I did (try) to build the very old 1/48 Eduard kit, but failed to get the strutz all lined up...
So a state of the art kit from CSM would be more then welcome. I am sure it will be a great kit with lovely details all over....
Yes, today is the best birthday I ever had!!
-
Yep,one side of mine has sagged over time, wasn't the best engineered assembly.I'd love to build a CSM one.
-
I'm in for one, along with CSM's Nieuport 21/23!!
-
what great news,i saw the post on fb yesterday and thought what a refreshing change from the norm.well done all involved for kitting a popular but somewhat over looked subject. ;D
-
Here's the first render from Copper State Models of the in-development Hansa Brandenburg D.1. More renders are expected to be with us next week.

Here's some more from CSM's FB page.
-
That is a thing of beauty. :D

Like I said this one was Never on My Radar as a Want! I will add that seeing these CADS I will Get One!

So, here I am for my post...
Great News from CSM! I will definitely buy the CSM Starstrutter, if it’s the only existing kit then or not. I keep my fingers crossed for many other 1/32 or 1/35 releases from CSM.

After seeing the CAD images from both Copper State and WNW, I believe I am slightly more impressed with what Copper State has going here. Will buy one.
-
Yep,I'll certainly buy the CSM,I expect it should be out first anyway. Not sure that I need both.
-
Now that CSM has spent the time developing the CAD work, I hope they consider producing a smaller version for 1/48th scale enthusiasts. With a modular component fuselage, it would be possible to kit the series 28, 28.5, 65.5, and 65.7 plus the prototype.
-
Well, I had a pleasant surprise this Morning when I remembered that I had purchased this on a clearance sale for a couple of bucks ;D I am ready for the kit!

?
most of the people reading this thread saw it that day. so?

As usual one company announces one and now another will make one. Who would have thought two of these kits out in 1/32. I would prob opt for the Wingnut wings kit myself. Just for ease of building and details.....

Hmmm... Have you built a CSM Nieuport 17?
Cheers,
Bud

The CSM Nieuport 17 is at a minimum on a par with or superior to any comparable kits WNW has done for detail, especially in the area behind the firewall of the engine. Love how they make the access hatches openable so you can see this area. Fantastic detail elsewhere, too. Looking forward to their HB D.1 and I will be getting one.

I agree 100% Eric!!!

I hope they put a tagline on the box cover saying they have the best detail behind the firewall of any kit out there.......
-
^^ They will. I am helping them with their ad and tag-line campaign as we speak. It will read "check behind our firewalls: that's were it counts..." 8)
-
I will have to buy both !!

Hi all,
Has anyone heard how the CSM model is progressing - seems to have gone quiet recently,
